Even the best paint jobs can be diminished by visible mold lines, gaps and seams. I would recommend taking time during assembly to address those issues. Apply a thin bead of cement along the areas to be joined and press the parts together until your get a little weld-seam of melted plastic where the gap was. Let it dry thoroughly and scrape it away. If you take the time to do it right, those seams will be invisible after painting.
